Draughtsman civil trade is one of the popular course under CTS(Craftsman training scheme).
The course is of two years (04 semester) duration.
Consist of domain area and core area, in domain area trade theory and practical impart professional skills and knowledge while workshop calculation science and employability skills impart core skill and knowledge.
Apart from drafting it also focuses on technical aspects of the civil engineering trade.
Producing drawings using computer assisted systems (CAD) or drafting machines or by hand using drawing instruments.
Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations and construction projects such as highways, sewage disposal system.
Draw maps, diagrams and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations and topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures.
Draughtsman are also called drafters, they perform same work tasks as architects and often work with them.
Draughtsman are responsible for creating technical drawings that accurately represent the design ideas.
They use hand drawings and computer-aided drafting (CAD) methods to generate precise drawings that meet given specifications.
The candidate must have passed 10th board examination from a recognized State Board in the country.
